Annual SAC Rafting Training Trip; Main Salmon River

The annual Sawtooth Adventure Company training trip was a mixture of big water, wild flowers in full bloom, beautiful sunny days and one epic hail storm. With four new guides and nine return guides it was a great way to build camaraderie while enjoying this amazing Idaho river. Side hikes leading to fields of wild flowers and historical cabins/ranches, dutch oven cooked meals, whitewater rescue procedures, and big fun rapids around every river bend; made for an action packed six days. The SAC crew hit the Main Salmon at 72,000 cfs, the biggest any one had ever seen the river. Check out the pics!

Playing it safe on the river. Putting to use our swift whitewater rescue on the river, including z-dragging a tree out of an eddie before it reached our boats on shore. Always training.

Creek crossing, now that's teamwork.
